All Aurappy candles are made with 100% pure soy wax — never a soy blend, never paraffin. Soy wax burns cleaner and slower, producing minimal soot and a longer-lasting fragrance. Every candle is hand-poured in small batches in Pune, India — never mass-produced.

Paraffin is a petroleum by-product. Soy wax is natural, renewable, and cleaner-burning. It holds fragrance better, burns cooler (so it lasts longer), and produces significantly less soot. Aurappy candles are toxin-free and safe to burn daily at home.

Yes — 100%. We use pure soy wax with no beeswax or animal-derived ingredients. Our fragrances are never tested on animals.

Not at all. Frosting and a rough top surface are hallmarks of genuine 100% soy wax — you'll never see this in a paraffin candle. It's caused by natural temperature changes during cooling. It has zero effect on burn quality or scent. Think of it as a quality stamp.

We blend premium fragrance oils into soy wax at the precise temperature and concentration needed for both a strong cold throw (scent when unlit) and a rich hot throw (scent when burning). Fragrances contain no parabens, petroleum, or phthalates.

Soy candles don't spoil, but fragrance fades over time. For the best experience, burn your candle within 12–18 months of purchase. Store with the lid on in a cool, dark spot to preserve the scent.

Burn times by size:

• Mini Jar (50 g) — up to 10 hours
• Single Wick (120 g) — up to 30 hours
• 3-Wick (256 g) — up to 35 hours
• Tealights — 4–6 hours each

Actual burn time depends on wick trimming, draught conditions, and session length. An 8 oz candle generally gives 6–7 hours per ounce.

The first burn is the most important one. Let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar before extinguishing — this takes 2–4 hours for most Aurappy candles. Stopping early creates a burn memory in the wax that causes tunneling in every future burn. Don't rush it.

Trim to ¼ inch (6 mm) before every single burn — not just the first one. A long wick creates a large, flickering flame that produces soot, burns through wax faster, and may cause smoking. Use a wick trimmer or small scissors; pinch off any carbon mushroom that forms at the tip.

Use a candle snuffer, or dip the wick into the melted wax pool with a wick dipper and straighten it back up. This prevents smoking, preserves the fragrance, and keeps the wick centred for the next burn. Avoid blowing it out — it sends smoke and soot into the room and can splatter hot wax.

Never burn for more than 4 consecutive hours. Beyond that, the wick begins to mushroom, the jar overheats, and you get diminishing scent return. Let the candle cool for at least 2 hours, re-trim the wick, and relight.

Stop burning when about 1 cm (½ inch) of wax remains at the bottom. Burning past this risks overheating the glass. The jar is a reusable vessel — clean it out and use it as a planter, pen holder, or small storage pot.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources, ideally between 18–24 °C. Keep the lid on when not burning. Avoid air conditioning vents or the fridge — rapid temperature swings cause surface cracks in soy wax.

Three rules prevent tunneling every time:

• Achieve a full melt pool on the first burn
• Burn for at least 1 hour per inch of jar diameter per session
• Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn

Yes. The foil method: wrap aluminium foil over the top of the jar, leaving a small hole above the wick for airflow. Light the candle and burn for 1–2 hours. The trapped heat melts the wax walls and levels the surface. Repeat once or twice if needed, then return to good habits.

Almost always a wick or environment issue, not the wax:

• Wick too long — trim to ¼ inch. This is the most common cause.
• Draughts — move the candle away from fans, open windows, or AC vents. A flickering flame causes incomplete combustion.
• Session too long — don't exceed 4 hours; the wick mushrooms and starts sooting.

Pure soy wax is inherently clean-burning.

A large, dancing flame means the wick is too long. Extinguish the candle safely using a snuffer, allow it to cool completely, then trim the wick to ¼ inch before relighting. A properly trimmed wick produces a steady, 2–3 cm flame.

Let it reach room temperature first — ideally 2–4 hours before the first burn. Cold wax can crack or frost when lit immediately. Once it's acclimated, you'll get a more even melt pool from the start.

Orders are dispatched within 3 working days. After dispatch, delivery takes 7–8 working days depending on your location. We ship Monday through Saturday, excluding public holidays. A tracking number lands in your inbox within 24 hours of dispatch.

Yes — free shipping on orders above ₹499. A flat shipping fee applies to smaller orders. If your order ships from multiple locations, only one shipping charge is applied.

We currently ship within India only. International shipping is something we're actively exploring — watch this space.

Yes, COD is available for orders between ₹1,500–₹50,000. Place COD orders via WhatsApp at +91 92840 23404. Not all pin codes support COD.

We accept returns within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition, with tags and original packaging intact. Email hello@aurappy.com to initiate — do not ship anything back without prior approval.

After we receive and inspect your return, refunds process to your original payment method within 10 business days. Bank processing may add a few more days. If it's been more than 15 business days since approval, contact us and we'll investigate.

We don't do direct swaps. Return the original item (within the 7-day window) and place a new order for the scent you want. Email us and we'll make the process smooth.
